Business Development Director Appointed by Switch2IT
Tony Hedger, 36, has been appointed to the position of Business Development Director for Switch2IT. Based at the company′s headquarters in Bookham, Tony brings with him a wealth of business to business experience gained working in the financial industry over the past 19 years.
In his newly-created post, Tony Hedger will be responsible for identifying opportunities to extend and expand the range of products and services provided by Switch2IT and its network in the UK. "From my point of view, the challenge is to work with an already highly successful organisation, seeking ways to further enhance our performance and thereby drive the business forward," he comments.
With a Business Studies degree from Sussex University, Tony Hedger has fulfilled a number of sales, marketing and business development roles within the financial industry as well as business consultancy services within the SME market.

Anti Spam Service Launched
In response to numerous complaints about the rising levels of Spam emails and after extensive testing Switch2IT has today launched STOP-IT. On average a third of all email received is spam. STOP-IT is an internet based service meaning no hardware or software for the client. Subscription is on an annual basis and costed per user per month. With spam estimated to increase 63% in 2007 the release of the service is timely.
Corporate Luncheon
Switch2IT hosted a table at The Builders Conference Luncheon at Café Royal in Regent Street with Chief Economist of HSBC, Dennis Turner, giving an entertaining speech on economics, not an easy task! New contracts secured
Switch2IT have been awarded several three year contracts for the provision of IT service and support. The new contracts will replace existing deals and run to 2010. Director Daniel Piggott said "the new contracts offer greater value for money, will allow clients to better exploit technology and makes for an exciting future for our business".
Hosting Division Launched
Switch2IT today launched a new UK hosting division www.nuthost.co.uk NutHost will offer a variety of hosting solutions for small and medium sized businesses. The hosted exchange service offers small customers all the benefits and functionality of technology that a few years ago was uneconomical to them. There is no hardware or licences to purchase and with cashflow critical to small and medium size businesses customers can pay monthly.
